Meet our Etsy shop spotlight Christina, the lady behind creative shop of SewMyCupofTea. Her shop is full with cuteness of amigurumi crochet patterns especially keychain. Let’s get to know her a little bit more shall we?
1.Tell us a little bit about yourself and your shop?
Hi I’m Christina and I live with my husband and one very cute Hamster called Lulu. I have always loved crafting and when seeing all the cute amigurumi you could make I was determined to learn to crochet. With no one to teach me (my family are all knitters) I taught myself from books. I love crocheting and making amigurumi has always been a favourite of mine. I love creating each personality and its always fun seeing them come to life at the end of my hook!
2.How did your etsy story start?
When I had been crocheting for a while I had made so many amigurumi that I was looking for something different. I came up with the idea of making key
chains as I like to make something that is useful. My first design was Sammy the Sheep and I had such positive comments I plucked up the courage to open my
Etsy shop, Sew My Cup of Tea.
3.What’s the story behind your shop name?
Sew My Cup of Tea is a play on the saying ‘That’s so my cup of tea’, which means that someone has found something they really love. This is what I
hope all my customers think when they see my patterns.
4.What’s the most important thing you’ve learned as an Etsy seller so far?
Good customer service is the most important thing.
5.How are you promoting your etsy shop online social media or blog? How does that work for you?
I love Twitter as it is like a mini blog and I can update my followers instantly with what I am currently designing. I like to post previews of my designs before they are available to buy on Facebook and Twitter. I also have a blog that I started early this year with tutorials on crocheting.
