octopus crochet applique free pattern with video tutorial.

Hi Crochet friends, Let me present to you the cutest octopus crochet pattern on the web, Mr. Giggley!

Mr. Giggley is a tiny baby octopus applique that you can easily make him in less than 10 minutes with a full step-by-step video tutorial.

And he is a cousin of Mr. Squidly the small pink color amigurumi octopus that I create a while back.

As you guys know I am slowly building my collection of crochet animals patterns, especially the sea creature theme.

I had called him, Mr. Giggley because he swims kind of wiggly.  You are just going to fall in love with him because he is so easy to make even for a beginner crocheter.

And within no time you might just be crocheting a lot of tiny babies’ octopus applique.

Easy octopus free crochet pattern.

Crocheting an octopus as a beginner is surprisingly easy all you need is basic crochet stitches like single and double crochet.

This baby octopus applique had an oval shape head which create from a magic adjustable loop some called a magic ring and teeny tiny long tentacles.

For the eyes, I use felt black color cut into a circle shape and use craft glue to stick them on.

For his mouth, I use a contrasting color yarn for it.

Crocheted him more ocean friends, or put a magnet on him and stick him to your refrigerator.

He would make great friends with Mr. Steve the crochet Whale and the tiny seahorse they play very well together.

Moreover, you could make a school of small crochet fish to go along with them.

If you love Mr. Gigley then Please share this post on your social network or Pinterest.

Material for this octopus applique.

  • Yarn: In the example piece I use dk weight or 4 medium weight will do just fine but you can also use any yarn and crochet hook size that is suitable for the yarn weight that you had.
  • Crochet hook:  in this example piece I use a 3.5 mm hook or a 4.0 mm hook will be fine. or any crochet hook size that you have on hand that is perfect for the yarn you got.
  • Black felt for the eyes and craft glue.

Thanks for sharing this adorable pattern, and I know it’s been on a while since it was posted, but most of the written pattern has been obscured by ads which renders the instructions unreadable.
