About the yarn for crocheting a cowl neck for him.

In this free crochet pattern, I use cotton blend yarn in sport weight, and if your girl doesn’t have a sport weight yarn, you can switch up to 4 medium weight will work just fine.

Actually, this free cowl pattern can work with any yarn weight and fiber content depending on how you want to use them, for example.

Chunky yarn: for a chunky cowl will speed up when you crocheted them and super cozy and warm in the winter.

Cotton yarn & any plant fiber: would be comfier for your man in the spring or summer because plant fiber is more breathable.

Wool yarn: they are a bit more luxurious and will keep your man toasty warm in the cold month.

Polyester yarn: Well, you can’t go wrong when crocheting with polyester yarn; they are more stretchy, flexible, lightweight, and budget-friendly.
