Hey hey everyone! How are you doing this weekend? This weekend I just finished a pretty quick  crochet scarf that made from Fancy box stitch  crochet tutorial.

This easy crochet lace scarf are perfect for beginner that want to start out on an easy lace or a fancy crochet stitch.

So at first I have no idea what  to make with this stitch and I think if I want to make a kimono from this fancy box crochet stitch It’s could take me so long to finished it like 4 day at least. So the skinny but not quite so skinny scarf is the way to go you know what I mean right?easy crochet scarf

Yeah  because they are  quick   to whip up and the result woohoo! is very pretty and sweet like me lol kidding!

So what did I came up with the name  for this scarf….  well…I called them “Baby blue sweet scarf”  The baby blue word is the new vocabulary for me, I just known.

It’s mean pretty light blue color! Wow……   So I think this is  very pretty name for blue color well well well I gotta get this name into my blue scarf pattern! Then I add another sweet word  into it.

If you guys make one and wear it you will turn to be sweet and pretty like the scarf name lol.

Let’s get into it shall we ?

– I used Lion brand 24/7 cotton  . I am using about 300-400 yard  yarn weight 4 worsted medium.

Color is Aqua or pastel turquise

– 4.0 mm crochet hook

– Sewing yarn needle

Skill and abbreviations

(American crochet terms)

You will need to know how to make

-St (stitch)

-sc which mean single crochet

-dc which mean double crochet

-ch, Chain

-sk which mean skip stitch

Fancy box crochet stitch

Finished Size Approximately: one size fit all.

Gauge: 2 group of fancy box stitch  = 3 inch

of the rectangle.

-54 inches long

-8 inches wide

Let’s get into the pattern.

The chain will be multiple of 8+1 for the foundation.

In this sample size I start with chain 48+1.

Row1.   make sc in next ch from hook and across until the end of the row. turn (48)

Row2. Turn, *ch5, sk4 then make sl st in next  st, sk2 then make sl st in next st* repeat this * to * across until the end of row.

Row3. ch3 turn, *make 4dc in ch3 space then ch1, make 1dc in middle of ch5 then ch1*  repeat this * to this * across until the end of the row, at the end of the row make 1 dc in last stitch.

Row4. ch3 turn, *sk2 then make sl st in next  st, ch5  sk4 then make sl st in next st* repeat this * to * across until the end of row.

Row5. ch3 turn, *make 1dc in middle of ch5 space then ch1, make 4dc in middle of ch3 then ch1*  repeat this * to this * across until the end of the row.

Row6. and beyond repeat row 2 to 5 until you get your desired length or around 54 inches long.

then do some blocking by sc around the edge and add some fringe to each end of the scarf.

All done!

I'm not sure I Understand row 2. the directions say Row2. ch5 turn, *sk4 then make sl st in next st, sk2 then make sl st in next st* repeat this * to * across until the end of row.

that causes the pattern to bunch up and it looks like there's a chain 5 that repeats. Am I reading this wrong? I could really use some help. Thank you so much!
