Hey Everyone! I am so excited to introduce you guys to this lovely fancy box crochet stitch. This stitch is a kind of a little lace and mixed with granny and a mesh stitch and they came out it look like actually similar to a box to me, so I give them a name called ” fancy box stitch”
Oh well they are actually easy mostly double crochet and chain.
This stich has a beautiful lace effect so they might be great for top tee , a cardigan for summer or even a scarf and many more up to your imagination!
You will need to know how to make
-sc which mean single crochet
-dc which mean double crochet
-ch, Chain
-sl st which mean slip stitch
-sk which mean skip stitch
Let’s get into it!
The chain will be multiple of 8+1 for the foundation.
In this small sample I start with chain 24+1
Row1. make sc in next ch from hook and across until the end of the row. turn (24)
Row2. turn, *ch5, sk4 then make sl st in next st, sk2 then make sl st in next st* repeat this * to * across until the end of row.
Row3. ch3 turn, *make 4dc in ch3 space then ch1, make 1dc in middle of ch5 then ch1* repeat this * to this * across until the end of the row, at the end of the row make 1 dc in last stitch.
Row4. ch3 turn, *sk2 then make sl st in next st, ch5 sk4 then make sl st in next st* repeat this * to * across until the end of row.
Row5. ch3 turn, *make 1dc in middle of ch5 space then ch1, make 4dc in middle of ch3 then ch1* repeat this * to this * across until the end of the row.
Row6. and beyond repeat row 2 to 5 until you get your desired length.
Note. Always make 4dc in ch3 space and 1dc in middle of ch5.
Happy crocheting!
