Easy crochet crop cami top free pattern with video tutorial.

Hello Beautiful! Welcome back to another easy crochet top tutorial. I am so excited to share this modern crochet crop cami top-free pattern with you today.

And you will love to wear them as much as I do.

This crochet camisole top is so quick to whip up and uses not much yarn to make.

I use almost one yarn cake which is less than 500 yards to crochet one camis top.

How to crochet a cami top.

A camisole top is one of the essential items in your closet, and every girl usually has at least one or two in their wardrobe.

So I was thinking of making the crochet version of my favorite basic camis top that I had in my closet, but I will make it into pink color.

This easy crochet crop top pattern is made all in one piece, and the thin strap is crocheted separately and attached to the body.

The crochet top has an easy v-neckline that will enhance the femininity of your body.

The stitches used in this crochet crop camis top pattern is half double crochet stitch to the entire body which is very basic.

And you will love this simple stitch as much as I do, and I always use this half-double crochet stitch in many of my crochet projects.

Ever wonder what the difference is between a crochet cami top and a tank top?

Well, I did a bit of research, and to sum up, the camisole top has a thin strap or you called it a spaghetti strap and the tank top had a thinker strap.

What is the best yarn to use for this crop camis top pattern?

Well, this cute camisole top is perfect for any yarn type. For example, acrylic yarn is great and so stretchy.

I use cotton dk weight yarn or 3 light because I had more leftover of them a bit.

And the cotton fiber is not so stretchy like acrylic yarn but will give a good drape and nice weight and also be comfy to wear for the summertime.

If your girl happens to have any wool yarn, that will work just fine, and also any natural fiber content will work also.

Just in case you do not have any dk weight yarn on your hand, you can also use any 4 medium weight yarn also.

The length of the back panel will be wrapped around your bust and perfectly adjusted according to your bust size.

The first 20 rows of all sizes make the same, then continue on the back panel to fit your body.

Front panel.

Now we will start to make a front panel with the first half, then will make the second half later.

In the example, the piece starts with chain 25.

You will get about 8 inches long of cami top, including the highest point of the top.

For all sizes: make the same from rows 1-20 for the v neckline.

Row1. make 2hdc in the first chain, then make 1 hdc each chain across until the end of the row. Chain 1 and turn.

Row2. make hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row, then in the last stitch, make 2hdc. Chain 1 and turn. to start the v neckline.

Row3. make 2hdc in the first st to continue to make the v neckline, then make 1hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row. Chain 1 and turn.

Row 4- 8. repeat row2-3 to make the v neckline for the crop cami top, then chain 1 and turn.

Now we will start to make a triangle point to the cami top by crochet decrease, which means crocheting 2 stitches together to become 1 stitch.

Continue from row 8.

Row9. Make 1dec in the first 2 stitches, then make 1hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row, then chain 1 and turn.

Row10. Make 1hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row, and in the last 2 stitches, make 1dec chain 1 and turn.

Row11. Make 1dec in the first 2 stitches, then make 1hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row, then chain 1 and turn.

Row12-15. repeat rows 10 and 11 and then chain1 and turn.

Row16-20. Make hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row. Fasten off and cut the yarn tail.

Now we finish the first half of the crop cami top.

Now we will be going to make the second half of the cami top and the back part.

Start by joining the new yarn at the bottom part of the top, then make hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row

( this row we do not count as a row; they are the joining row. In the end, chain 1 and turn.

Then, we will repeat the same as the first half panel from row 1 to row 20 for the second half, and at the end of row 20 do not fasten off.

And we will continue to repeat row 20 for the back part of the cami top until the back part can wrap around your body perfectly.

Assemble the crochet top.

Lay the top flatted like the picture and then use a yarn needle to sew.

Add spaghetti strap.

Find the peak point of the triangle, then join the new yarn and chain away from the cami top to make 2 straps.

Then make another two straps in the back panel.

I chain around 50-60 chains, depending on how long you want the strap to be.

All done!

Happy crocheting!
