Easy one shoulder  crochet top free pattern with video tutorial  is so simple to make and fun to wear! I am obsessed of making crochet summer ruffle top because they are so quick to whip up and fun to wear.

This pretty crochet one shoulder ruffle top is beginner friendly , the body is mainly made from double crochet stitch and the ruffle edge is  made from pretty lace stitch which I make a tutorial for it.

They are  made up from just 2 rectangles and a cotton yarn that are perfect for summer and spring.

Let’s get start!

– I used cotton Dk weight yarn or 3 light. I use around 700-800 yard.

– 4.0 mm crochet hook

– Sewing yarn needle

-stitch marker

Gauge: 3 double crochet stitch x 3 row  = 1 inch

Skill and abbreviations

You will need to know how to make (American crochet term)

-dc which mean double crochet

-sc which mean single crochet

-sctg which mean single crochet together= single crochet decrease

-dc increase which mean make 2dc in the same stitch

-ch Chain

-slip knot

–Fancy lace stitch

Finished Size Approximately: S-3XL easy to adjust

This top is made in size  small. the other sizes are easy to adjust by  just add more chain to make it wider . see pattern detail in video tutorial or detail below for bigger size. For me the model wearing this piece, I am 4’9 feet tall.

Measurement.

front panel. (for size small)

We will make this  one shoulder top from top to bottom.

Start  with one shoulder by Pick up crochet hook size 4.0  mm.

Start of by making a slip knot.

Then make 10 chains ( All size ) 

 (foundation chain in any number)

Row1: make 1dc in the next chain from hook and across until the end of the row, ch2 turn.

Row2. now you will work 1dc  in each stitch across until end of the row in the last st make 2dc . ch2 turn.

Row3. now you will work 2dc  in first stitch then 1dc in each stitch across until end of the row. ch2 turn.

Row4. now you will work 1dc  in each stitch across until end of the row in the last st make 2dc . ch2 turn.

Row5. now you will work 2dc  in first stitch then 1dc in each stitch across until end of the row. ch2 turn.

Row6. now you will work 1dc  in each stitch across until end of the row in the last st make 2dc . ch2 turn.

Row7. now you will work 2dc  in first stitch then 1dc in each stitch across until end of the row. ch2 turn.

Row8. now you will work 1dc  in each stitch across until end of the row in the last st make 2dc . ch2 turn.

Row9. now you will work 2dc  in first stitch then 1dc in each stitch across until end of the row. ch2 turn.

On this row we will start to make a body of the top.

Row10. now you will work 1dc  in each stitch across until end of the row in the last st make 2dc , then ch30 ( size small) turn.

ch38 ( size medium) turn.

ch46 ( size large) turn.

ch54 ( size XL) turn.

ch64 ( size 2XL) turn.

ch70 ( size 3XL) turn.

or you can add more chain to increase your size that will fit you bust.

Row11: make 1dc in the next chain from hook and in each st across until the end of the row, ch2 turn.

Row12: make 1dc in the next chain from hook and across until the end of the row, ch2 turn.

Row 13 and beyond ,….Repeat row 12 and switch up color until  you get 19 inch long. or your desired length and fasten off.

And repeat the same for the back panel.

Assembly.

Lay 2 pieces in flatted on top of each other and sewing using your favorite method.

Now it time to try it on to see if it fit you.

If it a bit loose on this area, when we sc on the edge  for 1 round, then you will try it on  again if it not fit on round 2 of we will do sc decrease in some stitch.

Then sc around the edge for 3 round to make it pretty.

Now after we finished sc around the edge for 3 round then we will crochet in front loop only(flo) to create  ruffle base.

on round 1 of ruffle edge. we will start to make ruffle base for fancy lace stitch.

Round1. make ruffle base for fancy lace stitch  *1dc in next st , 3dc in the next st*  repeat this* to* until the end of the round. 

on round 2 we are going to make fancy lace stitch.

Round2. making fancy lace stitch by, skip the first stitch  and make 2dc,ch2,2dc all in the same of the next stitch , then* skip 3 and make 2dc, ch2,2dc all in next stitch*   repeat * to * across until end of the round ( don’t join round), then if you have 2 stitch left sk1 and make 1dc in last stitch. Or if you have 1 stitch left make dc in that st. ( don’t join round and continue to next round)

Row3. now you will make   * 2dc,ch2,2dc in the chain space of the previous row* repeat * to * across until end of the round.

Repeat round 3 until you get your desire length of ruffle edge. My length is about inches  3.5 inches deep of fancy lace stitch.

Fasten off.
