Materials.
This free flower bouquet coaster pattern is super flexible — you can use any yarn fiber you have on hand! Whether it’s cotton, acrylic, or a cotton blend, it’ll still turn out adorable. You can even mix and match scraps to give it that fun, textured look.
In this example.I use 3 color.
- Yarn: I use scrap yarn for green color, weight DK and another 2 color are 4 medium from Lion brand feel likr butta acrylic, or you can substitute for any yarn weight u like and fiber content.
- Crochet hook: size 4.0 mm.

You will need to know how to make (American crochet term).
- sc, which means single crochet
- ch Chain
- slip knot
- sk means skip-stitch
- dc, which means double crochet

The simple flower coaster crochet pattern instructions.
Crocheting the base of the coaster.
Round1. Make magic ring and 7sc in ring (7)
Round2. 2sc in each st around (14)
Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (21)
Round4. *Sc in next 2 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (28)
Round5. *Sc in next 3 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (35)
Please check if the base is big enough for your tea or coffee cup if it too small keep continue to round 6.
Round6. *Sc in next 4 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (42)
Noted: If your circle is small, you can make it bigger. Just add more rounds of increase.
Crocheting flower stem.
Change to green color.
Sl st in next stitch, then * make (1 dc, ch1, 1dc in same st) then skip 1 st* repeat *to* at the end of the round slip st to join then change color.

Crocheting a flower bud.
changed color to pink then slip stitch to join.
Start first flower bud: ch3 count as a stitch, then 4dc in chain 1 space of the previous round on the 4th dc, pull up a loop then go back to the 1st dc st that we make then sl st to create the flower, then ch3 and sl st to finished the flower then ch3 in the same (v-st mean chain 1 space).
on the second flower bud: on the next v-stitch mean chain 1 space from the previous round, make 5dc in in v-stitch, on the 5th dc pull up a loop then go to 1st dc to sl st to create the flower then chin 3 and sl st to finished the flower then chain 3 and move to the next v-stitch to create the next flower.
Repeat second flower bud: until the end of the round, at the end of the round sl st to join then fasten off.
Flower pod/basket.
Round1. Make magic ring and 7sc in ring (7)
Round2. 2sc in each st around (14)
Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (21)
Round4. *Sc in next 2 st,2sc in next st* and repeat from * around (28)
Round5. in back loop only: Sc in each st around (28)
Round 6- 14. Work in both loops: Sc in each st around (28), finished off. And you can roll the top edge to create the layer for the pot plant.
