This fancy shell crochet stitch is similar to shell stitch I suppose! They are mostly use double crochet repeat!

This crochet stitch will going great for your crochet project like, ummm.. crochet top, cardigan or even a poncho!

You will need to know how to make

-sc which mean single crochet

-dc  which mean double crochet

-ch, Chain

-sk which mean skip stitch

Let’s get into it!

The chain will be multiple of 6+2  for the foundation.

In this small sample I start with chain 24+2

Row1.   make dc in next ch from hook and * sk2 st, 5dc in next st, sk2, 1dc in next st * repeat this * to * across until the end of the row. turn

Row2. ch3 then 2dc in same st, * make 1dc in middle of shell st, then 5dc on top of 1dc from previous row * repeat this * to * across until the end of row, on the last st make 3 dc all in same st. turn

Row3. ch3 , *make 5dc on top of 1dc from the previous row then make 1dc in middle of shell st*, repeat this * to this * across until the end of the row, at the end of the row make 1 dc in last stitch.

Row4. and beyond repeat row 2 and 3 until you get your desired length.

Happy crocheting!
