I am so into making a lot of slouch hat this day because they are so pretty and stylish that everyone can wear and look beautiful. If you guys haven’t see my previous slouch hats her they are Emily slouch, Sweetberry slouch, shell stitch slouch and oh boy slouch.
For this simple double crochet slouch I also make it for absolute beginner mostly use double crochet and we will be working in round.
This hat made from top down. I using cotton blend yarn for this project.

– I used Lion brand 24/7 cotton
– 3.0 mm crochet hook or C/2 US hook size
– 3.5 mm crochet hook or E/4 US hook size

-Magic ring or adjustable ring.
-sc which mean single crochet
-dc which mean double crochet
-ch, Chain
-slip knot
Gauge: 3 crochet stitches x 3 rows = 1 square inch

Finished Size Approximately: one size fit all adult

-10.5 inches wide
-11 inches deep including the band.

Hat body
You will work from top to bottom, pick up 3.5 mm hook
Round1. Make magic ring or adjustable ring and 7sc in ring (7 sts)
Round2. 2dc in each st around (14 sts)
Round3. *dc in next st, 2dc in next st*, repeat from * around (21 sts)
Round4. *dc in next 2 st, 2dc in next st*, repeat from * around (28sts)
Round5. *dc in next 3 st, 2dc in next st*, repeat from * around (35 sts)
Round6. *dc in next 4 st, 2dc in next st*, repeat from * around (42sts) .
Round7. *dc in next 5 st, 2dc in next st*, repeat from * around (49 sts)
Fasten off .

Is this done in continuous rounds? If not are you doing 2 ch’s at the beginning of each round? Your pattern doesn’t state…

I don’t really want to use cotton yarn. Any other suggestions for yarn I could use?
