Meet our popular girl group of March ” the girlgang” Hippo cutie, bear lovely, elephant funny and panda crafty.  Each girl have different character  and   will be your little one favorite  push toy of all time.  Can you imagine that you put this girl group in a beautiful box and wrap up with pretty paper for a gift to your friends or family.

If you are crochet baby level which mean beginner!  This pattern is made for you!  This is the skill require to make this doll magic ring, single crochet and make a chain.

Finish Size

-Approximately 6.5-7 inch tall

-Size of them may varies depend on size of yarn and crochet hook

 

Materials

To make you will need

1. Worsted weight yarn in this pattern, I normally used 8 ply or any  thing available.
2. Plastic eyes with safety backing 7.5mm (you can find it at any craft shop)
3. Polyester Fiber fill for stuffing
4. Sewing pin and embroidery
5. Ribbon or button
6. Crochet hook size1.25mm and craft glue

Note

For the size of the crochet hook really does not matter. The doll design will work just fine with different size crochet of hooks, only the end size of the creation will different slightly.

In this pattern is working in round continuously, you may use contrasting colour short piece of yarn to mark the beginning of each round. When round one end. Do not join at the end of each round; you will begin the second round in the next stitch.

At the end of each round,I have given the number of stitches you should have. If you are off by 1or 2 stitches, do not worry about it.

Skill and abbreviations

You will need to know how to make a magic ring or adjustable ring

-Single crochet (sc)

-Crochet increase (inc) which mean-make 2 single crochet in same stitch

-Crochet decrease (dec) which mean-Crochet 2 stitches together

-Stitch (st)

* = Repeat stitches from * to end of *

-Chain       (ch)

-Slip stitch (sl st)

-change colour

 

Let’s start with head Colour of your choice

For bear make 1 piece (yellow colour )

For hippo make 1 piece (pink colour )

For elephant make 1 piece (grey colour )

For panda make 1 piece (white colour )

 

   You will work from top to bottom

Round1. Make magic ring and 7sc in ring (7)

Round2. 2sc in each st around (14)

Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st*      and repeat from * around (21)

Round4. *Sc in next 2 st,2sc in next st*   and repeat from * around (28)

Round5. *Sc in next 3 st,2sc in next st*     and repeat from * around (35)

Round6. *Sc in next 4 st,2sc in next st*     and repeat from * around (42)

Round7-14. Sc in each st around (42)

Round15. *sc in each of next 5 st,dec 1*   and repeat from * around (36)

Round16. *sc in each of next 4 st,dec 1*   and repeat from * around (30)

Round17. *sc in each of next 3 st,dec 1*     and repeat from * around (24)

Round18. *sc in each of next 2 st,dec 1*     and repeat from * around (18)

Round19. *sc in each of next st,dec 1*       and repeat from * around (12) then finish of and leave long tail for sewing. And stuffing polyester firmly.

Arms colour of your choice

For bear make 2 pieces (yellow colour )

For hippo make 2 pieces (pink colour )

For elephant make 2 pieces (grey colour )

For panda make 2 pieces (black colour )

Make 2 pieces

Round1. Make magic ring and 8sc in ring (8)

Round2-14. sc in each st around (8)

Then finish of leave long tail for sewing and stuffing polyester just a little.

Ears

For bear make 2 pieces (yellow colour )

For hippo make 2 pieces (pink colour )

For elephant make 2 pieces ( grey colour )

For panda make 2 pieces (black colour )

         

    

Round1. Make magic ring and 6sc in ring (6)

Round2. 2sc in each st around (12)

Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st*     and repeat from * around (18)

Round4-6. sc in each st around (18)

Then finish of leave long tail for sewing and do not stuffing polyester.

 

Legs colour of your choice

For bear make 2 pieces (yellow colour )

For hippo make 2 pieces (pink colour )

For elephant make 2 pieces (grey colour )

For panda make 2 pieces (black and white colour )

 

  

Round1. Make magic ring and 11sc in ring (11) (black colour for panda)

Round2.   sc in each st around (11) (black colour for panda)

Round3. sc in each st around (11) (black colour for panda)

Round4-15. sc in each st around (11)

Then finish of leave long tail for sewing and stuffing polyester just a little.

 Body colour of your choice

You will work from bottom to top

Round1. Make magic ring and 7sc in ring (7)

Round2. 2sc in each st around (14)

Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st*       and repeat from * around (21)

Round4. *Sc in next 2 st,2sc in next st*     and repeat from * around (28)

Round5. *Sc in next 3 st,2sc in next st*     and repeat from * around (35)

Round6-8. Sc in each st around (35)

Round9. *sc in each of next 5 st,dec 1*   and repeat from * around (30)

Round10. *sc in each of next 4 st,dec 1*   and repeat from * around (25)

Round11-12. Sc in each st around (25)

Round13. *sc in each of next 3 st,dec 1*     and repeat from * around (20)

Round14-16. Sc in each st around (20)

Round17. *sc in each of next 2 st,dec 1*     and repeat from * around (15)

Round18. *sc in each of next st,dec 1*    and repeat from * around (10)

Then finish of and leave long tail for sewing. And stuffing polyester firmly.

Skirt

We make skirt by crochet outside of the body as the picture demonstration.

Insert crochet hook on round9. And make single crochet in each st around.

Start at round.9 of the body. Count from bottom to top

Then we count back from round 9,8,7,6,5,4,3 of the body because skirt is going down from round9.

Round9. Sc in each st around (30)

Round8. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st*       and repeat from * around (45)

Round7-3. Sc in each st around (45)

Then finish of and leave long tail for sewing.

Nose for bear (yellow)

Make 1 piece

Round1. Make magic ring and 5sc in ring (5)

Round2. 2Sc in each st around (10)

Round3. sc in each st around (10)

Finish of leave long tail for sewing.

Nose for Hippo

Start with chain11 (11)

Round1. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st*       and repeat from * around (30)

Round2-3. Sc in each st around (30)

Round4. (dec1,dec 1)   then ( Sc in next 8st) then (dec1,dec1)

then ( Sc in next 10st) and (dec1,dec1) (24)

Then finish of and leave long tail for sewing and stuffing polyester.

Nose for Elephant

Make 1 piece

Round1. Make magic ring and 7sc in ring (7)

Round2-11. Sc in each st around (7)

Finish of leave long tail for sewing and stuffing polyester just a little.  

Nose for panda

Use embroidery pink colour

Finishing

Sew nose to the face and ears to the head.

Then attach the head to body, arms and legs.
