Here another one of my favorite Easy crochet cocoon shrug or acardigan which is all you need to know is double crochet stitch which is very basic skill for beginner.
If you girl can do double crochet stitch then you can make this pretty simple cocoon shrug cardigan easy peasy like a piece of cake.
The all dc cocoon cardigan is super easy to adjust the size to be bigger or smaller by and more chain to the foundation chains.
And the instruction is made from just one rectangle.
Let’s get start!
I used worst weigh, yarn weight 4 medium. , The one That I would recommend is from Lion brand feel like butta yarn, arcylic mixed ,They have a great varities at a good price!!! I Love them ^^. Or you could go for cotton blend for comfy texture .
I am using about 800-1200 yard all together.
– 6 mm crochet hook or J/10 US hook size
– Sewing yarn needle
Gauge: ” 3 dc x 2 row ” = 1 inch
Note: we are crochet this cocoon loosely not too tight.

Finished Size Approximately:
Small to medium ( other size to make it bigger by add more chain to foundation chain, detail in the pattern)
For me the model wearing this piece, I am 4’9 feet tall.
Measurement.
one rectangle 29×34 inch.
All dc cocoon cardigan instruction.
Pick up crochet hook size 6 mm and Start of by making a slip knot Then make 100 chains (foundation chain multiple of 2 ).
small to medium chain 100
Large to XL chain 120
2XL to 4XL chain 140
You will crochet it loosely not too tight to create soft and squishy.
Row1. dc in the next chain from hook, then dc in each chain across until the end of the row, ch2 turn.
Row2. Blo, dc in each st across across until the end of the row. Ch2 turn
Row3. repeat row2 and beyond until the piece measure approximately 29 -30 inches and fastern off.
Assembly.
Lay the piece of rectangle in flatted and fold each corner inward until they meet then using your yarn needle to seam the corner with your prefer method ( I used whip stitch) and leaving holes for the arm. For the arm holes I leave my one about 5 inch or your prefer length.
Sleeve for the arm.Rejoin your yarn at any stitch of the arm hole.
Round1. sc all around the opening of the armhole.
Round2. make sc in each stitch all around the arm hole. on the armhole work in spiral donot join yarn.
Round3. Repeat row2 until your sleeve measure around 1 inches deep. Fasten off and weave in end.
Now enjoy your new cardigan.
If you make one I would love to see your creation tag me on Instagram!
Happy crocheting.

Your written instructions state to DC in the first chain from the hook then to SC in the remaining chains to the end, turn and chain 2. Your video states to DC in every chain. Did I read incorrectly?
