This lilly crochet summer top is make from just 2 rectangles and cotton yarn with the super easy linin / moss crochet stitch.

Let’s get into it.

I used Lion brand 24/7 cotton yarn weight 4 aran. I use around 700 yard. ( size  s to large )

I used 1 color for this top.

– 5.00 mm hook 

– Sewing yarn needle

You will need to know how to make

-St  which mean stitch

-sc which mean single crochet

-hdc which mean half double crochet

-Blo which mean crochet in back loop only

-ch, Chain

-slip knot

moss /linen stitch

Finished Size small to 3xl:

 in the tutorial example is size Small to large ( Easy to adjust by add more chain to the foundation chain for bigger size detail in pattern below)

For me the model wearing this piece, I am 4’9 feet tall.

Guage: 2 linin /moss stitch = 0.7 inch

Measurement front panel.

-20×18 inches 

For the width: If you need to make it wider ( bigger size) simply add more chain in even number multiple of 2.

For the length:  add more row.

Front panel.

Pick up crochet hook size 5 mm and Start of by making a slip knot Then make 70 chains  (foundation chain multiple of 2 )

For size small to large make 70 chain,

size XL make 90 chain,

size 2xl make 100 chain.

size 3xl make 110 chain.

Row1. sc in second chain from hook and each chain across, ch1 turn

Row2.  sc in the next stitch from hook * ch1, skip 1 st, sc in next st * repeat * to * across until the end of the row. Ch1 turn

Row3. sc in the first ch space * ch1, skip 1 st, sc in next ch space * repeat * to * across until the end of the row and make sc on the turning ch. Ch1 turn

Repeat row 3 until your piece measures approximately 18 inches long , Fasten off.

Back panel.

Pick up crochet hook size 5 mm and Start of by making a slip knot Then make 60 chains  (foundation chain multiple of 2 )

For size small to large make 60 chain,

size XL make 80 chain,

size 2xl make 90 chain.

size 3xl make 100 chain.

Row1. sc in second chain from hook and each chain across, ch1 turn

Row2.  sc in the next stitch from hook * ch1, skip 1 st, sc in next st * repeat * to * across until the end of the row. Ch1 turn

Row3. sc in the first ch space * ch1, skip 1 st, sc in next ch space * repeat * to * across until the end of the row and make sc on the turning ch. Ch1 turn

Repeat row 3 until your piece measures approximately 12 inches long , Fasten off.

Assemble.

After you finished 2 pieces of rectangles then lay them in flatted by the back panel is on top of the front panel. And use yarn needle to sew the side to create the body then we will add the wrinkle in the front panel.

To add the wrinkle in the front panel just use yarn needle and the same color of the yarn  to sew them and pull togather and tired it up.

Add the strap.

 to add the strap just chain away from the the top about 22-25 chain and join the end in the back panel.
