This delicious ummm… yummyness apple and grapefruite coasters will brighten up your meal or a great gift. I choose cotton yarn to make because they are super absorbant and also easy care.This pattern is very easy for beginner too.

Materials:
You will need
(8-ply) yarn( I used cotton yarn) small amount any colour
Crochet hook size 3.0mm
Sewing yarn needle
Removable stitch markers or contrasting coloured yarn

Skill and abbreviations:
You will need to know how to make:
Chain (ch)
Slip stitch (sl st)
Single crochet (sc)
Magic ring or adjustable ring

For instruction on how to make magic ring,and basic technique to make try this tutorial.
Beginner start here on how to make magic adjustable ring.

Note:
1.In this pattern, you will work in the round continuously. You may use a removable stitch marker or a short piece of yarn of contrasting colour to mark the beginning of each round. At the end of each round, you will not join, but begin the next round in the next stitch.
2.The stitch counts at the end of each round are given.

Let’ start
Body

Round1. Make magic ring and 8sc in ring (8)

Round2. 2sc in each st around (16)

Round3. *Sc in next st, 2sc in next st*       and repeat from * around (24)

Round4. *Sc in next 2 st,2sc in next st*     and repeat from * around (32)

Round5. *Sc in next 3 st,2sc in next st*     and  repeat from * around (40)

Round6. *Sc in next 4 st,2sc in next st*     and  repeat from * around (48)

Round7. Sc in each st around (48) and finished off.

Leaf.

Start with chain 8.
Round1. Sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next, 2dc in next, 2dc in next, work sc in last 3 sts.
Now working  on the opposite side by repeating round1. and finished off.

Stick.

Round1. Make magic ring and 7sc in ring (7)
Round2-5. sc in each st around (7) and finished off.
Finishing by sewing it together.
