I used Lion brand 24/7 cotton yarn weight 4 aran. I use around 600 yard. ( size xs to s )

I used 3 color for this top.

I am using about 600 yard all together.

– 5.0 mm crochet hook

– Sewing yarn needle

Gauge: ” 3 stitch of herringbone double crochet = 1 inch

Note: we are crochet this top loosely not too tight.

–hbdc – herringbone double crochet: yarn over, insert hook into next chain, yarn over and pull through the chain and the first loop on the hook, yarn over and draw through 1 more loop on the hook, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook.

Cookie and cream a summer top crochet instruction.

Pick up crochet hook size 5.oo mm and Start of by making a slip knot Then make 50 chain plus 3 chain =53 chains (foundation chain multiple of 2 + 3 ).

xtra small to small chain 50+3

Medium to Large chain 60+3

XL to 2XL chain 70+3

3XL to 4 xl chain 80+3

You will crochet it loosely not too tight to create soft and squishy.

Row 1: Skip first 3 ch from hook (counts as 1 dc), 1 hbdc in next ch and every ch until the end of the row, ( ch3 turn counts as 1 dc)

Row 2: , skip first st, 1 hbdc in next st and every st of hbdc until the end of the row, in the last st make hbdc in the ch3 of the previous row. ( ch3 turn counts as 1 dc)

Row3 and beyond : Repeat row 2 until we get 17 inch deep and do not fastern off yet and we will start working on the shoulder.

Now it time to make a shoulder.

Start at one side at a time.

Place stitch marker at 2 place leave the opening neck for 8 inches.

on the right side continue from previouse row then chain3,

Then make 1Hbdcsc in each stitch for 1 row until you meet the place marker point.

Then ch3 turn, and make 1hbdc in each stitch for 1 more row and fasten off , leave long tail for sewing.

Then repeat the same process for the left side.

Note.

The shoulder will add 1 more inches to the panel , so overall is 18×18 inch.

Back panel.

Assemble.

After we got front and back panel finished , then we lay front and back panel on top of each other and sew along as the photo show with leaving no sew for the arm hole about 4-5 inches.

After we finished assemble the top then will continue to make the sleeve.
