You can use any yarn fiber nad crochet hook size of your desired.
In this example bandana, I use.
- cotton DK weight yarn 1 ball 50 gram/115 yard
- measuring tape
- yarn needle

- dc which mean double crochet
- hdc which mean half double crochet
Measurement of the example piece.
- 17 inches wide.
- 7 inches deep.
To fit most adult heads is 18×9. Just add more rows to make the bandana bigger size.

Start of by making a slip knot. Then make 5 chains and slip stitch to join the end to form the circle.
Row1. ch2, (count as first hdc stitch), 2 hdc into the circle, ch2, 3hdc into the circle.
Row2. ch2, (count as first hdc stitch), turn. 2hdc into the first st, make 1hdc in each of the next st until at the middle point ch space, ( in the middle ch space make 2hdc, ch2, 2hdc ), then 1hdc in each of the next st,
Now we are onto last st of the row ( the turning chain) make 3 hdc.
Row3. ch2, (count as first dc stitch), turn. 2dc into the first st, then *ch1, skip1,1dc in next st* repeat * to* until at the middle point chain space ( in the middle point ch space make 1dc, ch2, 1dc ), then *ch1, skip1,1dc in next st* repeat * to* .
Now we move onto the last st of the row ( the turning chain from the previous row) and make 3dc.
Row4. ch2, turn. 2hdc into the first st, *make 1hdc in next st and 1 hdc in ch space* repeat * to * until at the middle point ch space, ( in the middle ch space make 2hdc, ch2, 2hdc ), then *make 1hdc in next st and 1 hdc in ch space* repeat * to * .
Now we move onto the last st of the row ( the turning chain from the previous row) and make 3 hdc.
Now, Repeat rows 1-4 until you get your desired size.
Add picot edge.
Join new yarn at one of the end points of the bandana, then chain 3 and slip stitch in the same st.
Then (slip st in the next 2 st, and on the next st make chain3, then slip st in the same st).
Repeat in the ( ) until the other end of the bandana.
Add tie.
Join new yarn to each end of the bandana and chain away 30-40 chains.
