This summer scarf crochet pattern can be made with any kind of yarn fiber and use not much yarn to complete the project. It’s a scrap buster project.

What is the best yarn for a crochet flower scarf?

For crocheted flower scarf, you can basically use any kind of fiber content that you have. They will work perfectly fine.

I use an acrylic blend with cotton yarn to make this reversible crochet summer scarf, but if you have cotton yarn would be great too, so either cotton or acrylic is fine, and pick up a candy pink color for the flower.

This is a quick and easy project to make. You can make them in just one-afternoon tea.

  •  In this example piece, I used 2 colors green for the leaf and pink for the flower, and they are scarp yarn. Any dk weight or 4 medium-weight yarn works great.
  • 3.5 mm crochet hook or 4.0 hook size

Crocheted the flowers.

First flower: Start off by making a slip knot, Then make 14 chains,

then in the next ch from hook make ( 3dc and sl st all in the same ch), first petal creates,  in next ch make ( 3dc and sl st all in the same ch) 2nd petal create, in the next ch make ( 3dc and sl st all in the same ch) 3 rd petal create,.

Join the last petal and the first petal by sl st. This will create your first flower.

After you have your first flower then, chain 14 and repeat the same process to create 2nd flower

or until you get 23 flowers, I measure my piece around 64 inches long.

Fasten off.

Crocheted the leaf.

Now we moving on to the leaf.

First leaf: Start off by making a slip knot, Then make 12 chains,

then in the next ch from hook, make sl st,  in the next ch make hdc, in the next 2 chains make dc in each ch,

in the next ch make sc, in the next ch make slst. This will create your first leave.

After you have your first leaf, then join the leaf with the first flower by sl st, then chain 12 and repeat the same process to create 2nd leaf

or until you get 23 leaves, I measure my piece around 64 inches long.

Fasten off.

Finishing

After you have the flower and leaf attached together then, you tie up each end.
