Get ready for the beach with this smokin’ hot easy crochet bikini pattern for beginners! You guys, I am living on the edge with this crochet pattern! I’ve always wanted to try more clothing patterns, but I’ve always been intimidated by them. Well, no longer! This summer, I am branching out!
This easy bikini crochet pattern is made using simple stitches that can be mastered by a beginner in no time. I really want others to overcome their fears about crochet clothing pieces too, so the pattern was made using a simple design that’s easy to replicate. You know what that means? Bikinis for everyone! Ha!
Since acrylic yarn is definitely not the kind of texture you want on your body while swimming or sunbathing, I went with my favorite cotton yarn. It’s lighter in weight, breathable, and just a much nicer yarn to have against your skin. You can obviously make it in whatever color you want, but I went daring and used white.
I got the ribbing effect by crocheting in a back loop which, although it sounds difficult, is really easy to do and gives the bikini a terrific texture. Sure, you could do it all in a simple single crochet stitch, but since you’re branching out to clothing, branch out to a new stitch as well. Besides, it makes the bikini look amazing when it’s all done!
The trick with this pattern is that you just need to take your time and try out the piece as you go. If you want it higher in the back, add more rows. If you want it a bit more racy, eliminate a few rows. This easy crochet bikini pattern for beginners is the perfect way to start your summer crochet projects. And, if you need a top, try pairing it with the easy summer crop top pattern that I made for you too! You’ll be the hottest mama on the beach!

This pattern is made for beginners! There is a basic skill level required to make the hat design.
Size: Ladies Size 8. You can customize the piece to match your size.
Make slip knot then chain 60 (or until the chain is at the length you want the width of the front of your bikini to be) about 11 inch.
Row 1: Sc in the next chain from hook and each stitch across to the end of the row. Ch 1, turn.
Row 2: Sc2tog, then make sc in each stitch across until the last 2 sts for the last 2 stitches make sc2tog. Then Ch 1, turn. (blo)
Row 3 – 24: Repeat Row 2. The last row should be the smallest width.
Now we are going to the middle part of the bikini.
So we continue from row24
Row25. Sc blo across from the previous row, chain1 and turn.
Row26-50. Repeat row 25.
The back part of the bikini.
Make slip knot then chain 76(or until the chain is at the length you want the width of the back of your bikini to be) about 12 inch to make back of the bikini,
Row 1: Sc in the next chain from hook and each stitch across to the end of the row. Ch 1, turn. Row 2: Sc2tog, then make sc in each stitch across until the last 2 sts for the last 2 stitches make sc2tog. Then Ch 1, turn. (blo) Row 3 – 30: Repeat Row 2. The last row should be the smallest width.
Then join the back part to the middle part of the bikini by slip stitch.
Lace of the front and the back part of the bikini.
Join yarn on the end of the first row.
I start with* chain2, skip 1 stitch and make double crochet in next stitch* and repeat this ** until the end of this row.
Repeat the edging lace to other side of the bikini and create the tie for the bikini by Use long tail that we have before by chain away from the bikini until u get the desired length and Fasten off.
Happy crocheting!

You talk about not doing sc here the photos look like the stitches are DC but all u instruct us to do is sc. Also at the top u talk about this being a easy pattern for a hat of course this is not a hat pattern. Would u mind clearing this up for me? Thank you Kristie
