Purple delight will be my next new favorite cowl to wear and made for family and friends . They are so simple and can be works up really quick in just 1 hour or 2. I love love to work with bulky yarn because I can finished up the cowl so fast. So I end up use only 1 skein of yarn to make this pretty cowl.
Let’s get start!
– I used 100% acrylic Bernat Softee Chunky yarn or wool blend yarn , I personally like Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Solids from Lion Brand .
– 6 mm crochet hook or J/10 US hook size
– Sewing yarn needle
Skill and abbreviations
You will need to know how to make
-Sl st (slip stitch)
-sc which mean single crochet
-dc which mean double crochet
Special stitch use called ” triangle stitch” from Olivia of hopeful honey my favorite crochet blogger have a great video tutorial for this pretty stitch.
-ch, Chain
-slip knot
Gauge: 2 crochet stitches x 2 rows = 1 square inch

Instruction.
Taking your super bulky yarn and 6.00mm crochet hook, start of by making a slip knot Then make 66 chains
Row1. Sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each chain across; chain4 turn
Row2. Start to make triangle stitch in each stitch across, ch1 turn
Row3. Sc in 2nd st from hook and in each st across; chain4 turn
Row4-16. repeat row 2 and 3.
After finished row 16 finish off and leave long tail for sewing.
I measure my rectangle around 28 inch long and 9 inch wide.
Finishing
Fold the rectangle in half and line up the end.
Using your yarn needle and whip stitch to close the end together.
Tie off and weave in end.
Now you have your very pretty cowl.
