The foundation chain is the length of the cardigan.

First let’s measure your bust size then divide by 2 then add 1 more inch for the loose fitting or 2 inch. See video tutorial for how to make them into your size.

Then start making foundation chain.

We will start with 50 chain I get about 14-15 inch long.

The foundation chain is can make in any number depend on how long you want you cardigan to be.

Row1. Make hdc in each chain across until the end of the row. chain 1 and turn.

Row2. in back loop only Make hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row. chain 1 and turn.

Row3. repeat row2 until we get 17 inch wide for size s-m bust 32-34 inch. then finished off leave long tail for sewing.

Front panel.

Now we will start to make a front panel with the first half then will make the second half later.

First bring your back panel and fold them in half then put your stitch marker to mark the centre of your back panel then measure the gap between the marker 2 inch, this will be the gap the opening of your cardigan.

Then start the foundation chain of 30 or more chain for deep v or short v of your cardigan in this example piece is 30 chain.

In the example piece start with chain 30.

For all size make the same for the open v line of the cardigan.

Row1. Make hdc in each chain across until the end of the row in the last chain make 2hdc. chain 1 and turn.

Row2. In back loop only then make 2hdc in first st and 1hdc in each stitch across until the end of the row then chain 1 and turn.

Row3. In back loop only make 1hdc in each st across to continue to make v line for cardigan then in the last st make 2hdc then. Chain 1 and turn.

Repeat row2-3 to until you have the length that match the length of the back panel then chain 1 and turn.

After we got the length of your first half of your front panel that match the length of you back panel then we will finished with the v line by stop crochet increase and we will start to create the shoulder for front panel by even it out just hdc in each st across until you match the wide of your back panel.

After we finished with the first half of the front panel then we will repeat the same for the second half of the front panel.

Assembly the cardigan.

assemble the cardigan

Lay the back and the front panel in flatted then use yarn needle for sewing to the shoulder and sewing on the side to create the armhole is 6 inch long.

Make2 pieces.

to create the sleeves the length of the foundation chain is about 40-60 chain depend on how long you want your sleeve to be.

row1. make hdc in each chain across until the end of the row, chain 1 and turn.

row2. make hdc in back loop only in each stitch across untill the end of the row. chain 1 and turn.

row3 and more repeat row3 until you get about12 inch or more that can fit around your armhole. Finished off and leave long tail for sewing.

Attach sleeves.

after we finished 2 pieces of rectangle we will join each rectangle to create the circle after this we will attach the sleeve to the cardigan by sewing.

Add ruffle to the cardigan this will be the collar.

To add ruffle to the collar of the cardigan by simple make sc around the collar just for 1 round then chain2 and make the in * first st make 2dc and in the next st make 3 dc * and repeat this * to * around the collar and fasten off.
