Material.

– I used DK weight yarn 500 yard for size small to medium from bust size 32-36 inch.

– 4.0 mm crochet hook

– Sewing yarn needle

Gauge: 4 hdc = 1 inch

-sc which mean single crochet

-dc which mean double crochet

-hdc which mean half double crochet

-blo which mean crochet in back loop only

-1dec which mean crochet decrease = crochet 2 stitch together to become 1 stitch

-ch Chain

-slip knot

-sk  mean skip stitch

Finished Size Approximately:

 This example summer tank top is made to fit size small to medium 32-36 inch bust size

see pattern below for size Large and XL fit bust size from 36-40 inch.

This example summer tank top the length is 14-15 inch long include the strap.

The foundation chain is the length of the summer tank top for all size (all size made the same).

Row1 -21 all size made the same.

Row22-23 for size L and XL

Start making foundation chain for all size.

We will start with 40 chain After we chain 40 chains you will get around 10 inch long ( the strap not include) then will will start on row1.

Row1. Make hdc in each chain across until the end of the row. chain 1 and turn.

Row2. Make hdc back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row. chain 1 and turn

Now we will start to make a curve kind of like a round neck line to the summer tank top by crochet increase which mean make 2hdc in the same stitch.

Row3. Make 1hdc in back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row then at the last stitch make 2hdc. chain 1 and turn.

Row4. Make 2hdc in the first stitch continue to increase from row3. then make 1hdc back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row. chain 1 and turn.

Row5-9. repeat row 3 and 4 then at the end of row9 we will chain 6 to make the strap , chain1 and turn.

Row10. Make hdc in each chain and back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row. chain 1 and turn

Row11. Make hdc back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row. fasten off and cut the yarn tail.

Now we will start to make a slope for the armhole of tank top by crochet decrease which mean crochet 2 stitch together to become one stitch.

Measure from the strap 4 inch then, join new yarn.

Row12. Make hdc in each chain across in back loop only until the end of row then chain 1 and turn.

Row13. make 1hdc back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row then make 1dec in the last 2 stitch . then chain 1 and turn.

Row14. make 1dec in the first 2 stitch , then make hdc in back loop until the end of row then chain 1 and turn.

Row15-20. we will continue to decrease by repeat row 13-14 then at the end of row then chain 1 and turn.

Row21. Make hdc in each chain across in back loop only until the end of row then fasten off.

For size Large and XL

Continue from row21.

Row22. Make hdc in each chain and back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row. chain 1 and turn

Row23. Make hdc back loop only in each stitch across until the end of the row. And fastern off.

Now we finished one side of the summer tank top and we will make the other half to complete the top.

Join new yarn at the top end of the top then repeat the same process from row1-row 21 for size small to medium. for size large to xl repeat row1- row23.

Assemble the tank top.

Lay the front panel and back panel then use yarn needle to sewing on the side of the top and the the edge of the strap.
