Hi Crochet Lovers, as promised. Today its my pleasure to introduce to you Mr Squidly’s cousin. 

A baby Octopus crochet applique called Mr Giggley because he swims kind of wiggley.  You are just going to fall in love with him because he is so easy to make even for beginner crochet and comes together in a splash.

You can whip him up in 15 minutes and he love to play all day.

 Make him some friends, or put a magnet on him and stick him to your refridgerator .

He would make a great friend for Mr Steve the Happy Whale, they play verywell together – see Mr Steve’s pattern in our previous post.

 Supplies:
 
yarn
crochet hook 3.5 mm. or andy that you have on hand.
black felt for the eyes and craft glue.

5 Easy and fun crochet applique-free pattern

Here I made vdeo tutorial for this baby octopus applique.

 

Round1.
Make magic ring or adjustable ring and 8sc in ring (8 sts)
 
Round2.
2sc in each st around (16 sts)
 
Round3.
*Sc in next st, 2sc in next st*, repeat 2 time.
then sc in 2 next st, Hdc in next st, dc in next st, 2dc in the same st, dc in nextst, hdc in next st, and sc in the next 3 st.

Round4. sl st in next 3 st, then chain 9 ( to make first tentacle) turn sl st in next 8 st and sl st in next.

Then start the second tentacle by chain8, turn sl st in next 7 st and sl st in next.

The third  tentacle by chain8, turn sl st in next 7 st and sl st in next.

The fourth tentacle by chain9, turn sl st in next 8 st and sl st in next then finish off.

We are almost done use red colour yarn for mouth make sc and black felt for the eyes.

You’ll find this so Easy ,I know you’ll enjoy bringing your new creations to life.
