Meet Sunshine! the easiest crochet beach cover up  or a beginner friendly crochet swimsuit cover up if you call it.

I make this pretty easy sunshine beach cover up into a little boho style with a tassel on the side which it so cool that on the each side of the dress is open and close by using tie. Cannot  imagine?

So this beach dress is also easy to wear in casual style for summer or for a oversize shirt with long sleeve , we could easily match with just wear sexy lace bra inside you are good to go or a liner under the shirt!

and the size for this is super easy to adjustable from small to3-4xl.

I made this beach cover up dress with 100% cotton yarn and this one is super quick to make too!

Let’s get start!

– I used Lion brand 24/7 cotton , 

I use around 800 yard for small size.

5mm crochet hook

Sewing yarn needle

Skill and abbreviations

You will need to know how to make (American crochet term)

-Sl st (slip stitch)

-dc which mean double crochet

-sc which mean single crochet

-sk which mean skip stitch

-ch Chain

-slip knot

This pattern is made for beginners!  There is a basic skill level required to make.

If you don’t understand any technical crochet words, don’t worry I got you cover!

Finished Size Approximately:

 This  is made in size small- M, L, XL,2XL, 3xl ,4xl the detail will be in the pattern.

For me the model wearing this piece, I am 4’9 feet tall and the model piece is size small.

Pick up crochet hook size 5 mm and Start of by making a slip knot Then make 80+3= 83chains  for size small to medium  (foundation chain multiple of 4+3).

( size L 92+3 chain)

( size XL 116+3 chain) 

( size 2XL 128+3 chain)

( size 3XL 144+3 chain)

( size 4XL 164+3 chain)

Row 1: Sc across, ch 3, turn.

Row 2: dc in same st, then *ch2 ,sk2 st, then 1dc in each of the next 2 st*,  repeat this* to* across until the end of the row then on the last st , ch2 and make 1dc. ch3 turn. ( see very detail photo tutorial on mini lace crochet stitch)

Row3. dc in the same st,then  * ch2,sk2 ch, then 1dc in each of the next to st*  repeat * to * across until end of the row. at the end make 1dc in ch3 space of the previous row.  ch3 and  turn.  ( see very detail photo tutorial on mini lace crochet stitch)

Row4. and beyond, repeat row 3 until we get 20 inch long or your desired length.

Now we are going to make v neck for the front panel.

Fold front panel in half so we know where is the middle stitch then use stitch maker to maker down the position.

Then join new yarn at the end of this point, then ch3,

Row 1: dc in same st, then *ch2 ,sk2 st, then 1dc in each of the next 2 st*,  repeat this* to* across until where the stitch maker place. ch3 turn

Row2. dc in the same st, then  * ch2,sk2 ch, then 1dc in each of the next to st*  repeat * to * across until where the stitch maker place.  ch3 and  turn.

Row3. and beyond, repeat row 2 until we get 5 inch deep for the v neck.

repeat the same process for the other side.

After we finished v neck  the front panel will look like this.

Now we are going to make the v neck pretty by sc around v neck for 1 row then ch2, and dc in each stitch around and fasten off.

After we finished front panel leave there and waiting for assembly.

Back panel.

Row4. and beyond, repeat row 3 until we get 25 inch long or your desired length. Fastern off.

Assembly.

Lay front panel in flatted on top of back panel then sewing using yarn needle as you can see the photo above.

Collar.

After we finished assembly the piece then we are going to make the collar by sc around the collar for 3 row.

Making sleeve.

No sew for the armhole for 6-7 inch, then place stitch make to secure the position.

Join new yarn and sc around the armhole for 1 round.

After finished 1 round of sc then ch2.

Row 1: dc in same st, then *ch2 ,sk2 st, then 1dc in each of the next 2 st*,  repeat this* to* across until the end of the row then on the last st make 1dc. ch2 keep continue in spiral , donot join round.

Row2. dc in the same st, then  * ch2,sk2 ch, then 1dc in each of the next to st*  repeat * to * across until end of the round. at the end make 1dc in ch2 space of the previous row.

Row3. and beyond, repeat row 2 until we get 10 inch long or your desired length. Fastern off.

repeat the same process for the other side.

Make the tie.

Chain 100-130 for 2 piece for close up each side of the cover up.

Make tassel 4 piece.

  3. Please clarify on Beach Coverup. Large – I chained 95. Row 1 You say to sc across then ch 3…….. easy. Where are we supposed to make that first sc in order to continue to end of toe? 3rd or 4th chain back. First chain closest to hook? I’ve never ever seen it written this way. HELP! Thanks for sharing the pattern
